And he’s off! Mark Casi, one of The Network Talent’s brightest young stars, has safely made it to Milan for Men’s Fashion Week! I talked with Mark before he left to get a little background on this fresh faced model who is being looked at by top clients such as Calvin Klein and Versace.

Mark had to do a bit of development before his jet setting adventure began. He lost 20 pounds and said it was very hard to lose the weight.“They said I was too muscular from football. You know, too much of a man", Mark chuckled.

When asked how he managed to do it, Mark replied, “Carbs are the enemy. No fruit, just meat and veggies. Everything else is bad. I exercised a lot with my trainer and passed out after one training session”. Regarding his schedule in Milan, Casi says he will be extremely busy but hopes to find time to explore his roots, as he is a “proud Italian”.

Sorry girls, Mark is taken! His relationship with Miss Tennessee, Wesley Ware, is pretty serious. While the time difference from Tennessee to Milan is six hours, Mark says they’ll make it work. He offered to buy for her flight to come with, but they have settled to Skype every day.

Mark isn’t just looks; he’s got brains too! When asked how he will manage both modeling and college, Mark replied, “I really love modeling, but my brain is going to last longer than my body." After discussing his academic scholarship to the honors college at Alabama State University, which he will be attending in the fall, Mark says he is unsure on what to major in, but he’s not worried. He explains that with his full ride, classes are free. "I can take my time figuring out what I want to be,” Mark explained.

While his plate is full for the fall, He still plans to join a fraternity. Mark says juggling modeling, social activities and academia won’t be easy, but he’ll make it happen. With determination like this, our team at The Network Talent is positive that Mark Casi will do great things.
